Hi, I’m Kionna Howell (she/her) a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Peace of Mind Therapy and Wellness, a mental health practice dedicated to helping individuals find healing, balance, and resilience.

With 8 years of experience in the mental health field, I specialize in EMDR Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, Somatic Therapy, and Polyvagal Therapy—powerful approaches designed to address trauma, emotional regulation, and overall well-being. I also integrate meditative practices to create a holistic path toward healing, helping clients reconnect with themselves and achieve lasting change.
At the heart of my work is a passion for guiding others through life’s challenges with compassion and evidence-based strategies. Whether you’re seeking support for past trauma, looking to cultivate inner peace, or navigating the complexities of life, my goal is to provide a safe and empowering space where you can thrive.

When I’m not working with clients, I enjoy spending time in nature, practicing yoga, or finding inspiration in my favorite books. These activities not only help me recharge but also fuel my passion for mindfulness and well-being. Nature provides a serene backdrop for reflection and creativity, allowing me to bring fresh perspectives into my practice. Yoga keeps me grounded and centered, enhancing my ability to connect with clients on a deeper level. Meanwhile, diving into a good book opens new worlds and ideas, enriching my understanding of the human experience. Balancing work with these personal pursuits ensures that I remain present and fully engaged, both in my professional life and personal journey of growth and discovery.
